Delta Continues Service to Kootenays
Following on the success of last year, Delta Airlines will continue its nonstop flights this winter between Salt Lake City and the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, B.C. The flight schedule resumes Dec. 19 and runs until Mar. 28.
The two-hour flight will be available Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flights depart Salt Lake City at 11:10 a.m. and arrive in Cranbrook at 1:25 p.m. Returning flights leave Cranbrook at 1:50 p.m., arriving in Salt Lake City at 3:45 p.m.
The flights, which were introduced last winter, offer U.S. Skiers and Snowboarders quick access to several British Columbia ski resorts. The two closest resorts are run by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.
Kimberley Alpine Resort outside Cranbrook sits the closest at 20 minutes from the airport. The resort caters to families with night skiing and evening ice skating, among other activities.
